Mumbai: If you thought visiting a museum is passe think again. Mahindra & Mahindra has launched ‘The Museum of Living History’ in Mumbai. It celebrates the company’s philosophy, core values, and culture, incorporating elements of digital and futuristic art. Installations, interactive displays, ‘hype-boxes’, ‘suitcase’ collections, and memorabilia from the company’s past have been designed to narrate the story of the brand’s 75 years into the business in India.

But museums are storehouses of history and culture and are often considered dull and uninviting. Visiting a museum is best left to schools, which makes them mandatory every year for students. But visiting the Museum of Living History may change that view.

Technology is what makes everything better here. The use of technology helps people understand the exhibits better. And so, the museum is a perfect place to experience how art meets technology.

The museum has been conceptualized and designed by creative consultant Elsie Nanji, and ‘experience’ designer, Harsh Manrao. The museum has been built with the help of new age technology like Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR). Leveraging technology would make visitors’ experience more immersive in nature.

The five sections of the museum namely The Force, The Big Bang, Passage of Time, Hyperspace, and Beyond Space and Time offer an immersive, ultra-modern experience.

To visit the museum, one simply needs to book an appointment and come to experience the brand which narrates – the philosophy behind the Mahindra Group. Stories of strive and triumph, values, ethics, and concern for the community have been brought to life within it. The museum has been conceptualized as a space where people can gather to learn, share, and interact.
